Art Classes within a Christian atmosphere based on the National K-12 Visual Arts Standards (This is not just a crafting class) Class Motto: “Students, go and create with all of your heart just as God created you!” At "Karen About Art," students learn the basic elements and principles of design according to the National Visual Arts Standards. If a class is dropped after the third class meeting, no refund will be given and you will be required to pay any remaining balance. Rules Bad or disrespectful behavior to the teacher or other students will not be tolerated in class. Students should be picked up promptly after their classes are finished and should not be dropped off more than ten minutes before their first class. If a student is told by the person picking them up to meet in another room other than the classroom, the teacher is no longer responsible for him or her. Because this class is a Christian atmosphere the following conduct is expected... 1. Kindness 2. Truthfulness 3. Courtesy toward others and respect for their property 4. Respect for the classroom and building property 5. Respect for and obedience to those in authority 6. Diligence in effort and attention Bad Weather Policy Class cancellations due to snow will be posted on Channel 8 and possibly 13 under the Home School Building’s name. A generic e-mail may also be sent out to all families as long as cable is not down. Please do not expect a phone call. *Snow days will not be made up unless there are more than 2 that are missed. Since families come from all over West Michigan for classes, we realize that the weather may be worse for some families than others; therefore, each family will need to make its own decision regarding whether it is safe to come to class. Classes canceled due to teacher illness will be handled with a phone call to the families starting with the families that live furthest away. A posting may also be on the entry doors to the Home School Building. Class will be made up on the assigned make-up day.
